Patients ask me all the time what is the best way to sleep.
I’ll outline it for you:
BEST: on your back with a small pillow under your knees and a small pillow supporting your neck.
Better: on your side with a small pillow again between your knees and a medium pillow to support your neck.
Worst: on your stomach. You will usually turn your neck in the night and wake up in spams.
To be honest, most of us use some combination of the above. Just try to make a small change and that will lead to better support and more restful sleep. Try starting with a pillow under or between your knees and see how much better you feel.
