The idea is that Heat would feel so good…but what you really need is some ice for the first 24-48 hours and maybe a bit longer even.
Try wrapping some ice in a baggy and putting a small towel around that. Put this on the area of injury and rest for 15-20 minutes. You can repeat this again within the next couple hours.
If you do begin to use heat…use a moist heat. A warm shower or a moist heating pad. Follow this with the ice pack and you will really be gaining some benefit.
This small technique may give you some relief but really find out what the injury was and if there is any misalignment or undetected nerve damage…otherwise you may have worse problems in the future if you don’t seek treatment.
We also have regular workshops that are open to the public with more safe and easy tips on how to gain relief.
Workshops: Every 2nd Tuesday at 6:15 pm. RSVP to Joyce and learn much more within the short 60 minutes time.
